The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." Reiki will help you to heal + balance your entire being… mind, body and soul. When our life force energy is low we feel tired, stressed, stagnant, and sick, be it physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually…it’s all connected. When our life force energy is high and free flowing we feel alive, inspired, connected, joyful and radiant. As Reiki practitioners, we act as channels for this divine life force energy to flow to you and throughout your energy body by laying our hands on or near you with the intention of clearing any blockages and balancing the flow of your Ki through your energy centers, or chakras. This is done while you are lying in meditation. The experience of receiving reiki can and will vary and it is important to always keep an open mind and release any expectations to make space for the most perfect experience to unfold without attempting to apply your own will or figure out what it will be before it happens.
